Preserving the Heritage of Farm Equipment for Future Generations SEPTEMBER 1, 2009 AT 12:10 PM

Pike County Old Tractor and Equipment Club is a “Non-Profit” organization based in Zebulon, Georgia. Founded in 2002 we now have members located all over the Southeast that own and maintain a variety of vintage Farm Equipment. Ownership of a certain brand or make equipment is not required; join now and we can help/assist you find a tractor later! We attend many events in Central Georgia each year such as Parades, Festivals and Agriculture related shows. Four club meetings are held each year. We support local charities like “The Christian Outreach center” & “Pike County Volunteer Fire Departments. In 2008 we collected money and toys for a Mission in the Back hills of Kentucky at Christmas. In 2009 we awarded a scholarship to a Pike County High School senior seeking a career in Agriculture. We are proud supporters of “AMERICAN FARMLAND TRUST”.

Ayrsmoss Ranch & Hannahmade Soaps and Scrubs AUGUST 4, 2009 AT 8:39 AM , BY GRACE Oberhasli and LaMancha Dairy Goats
We breed for show quality and milk production. We will be doing milking demonstrations as well as hoof trimming and could also do a clipping demonstration. We’ll have baby goats to bottle feed, and hands on milking for children of all ages.
Hannah will bring her soaps to demonstrate one of the end products. Though we can’t make the soap on site, we can bring unfinished bars, and demonstrate how the bars are trimmed. More info on our family… we bought our first goat 6 years ago, to provide a wholesome source of milk for one of our children who has cow dairy allergies. That blossomed into 4-H projects for the older children who have focused on Dairy Goats for their DPA projects, and we attend 4-5 shows per year where we have amassed many ribbons and trophies while learning all about the responsibilities of having a backyard dairy. All the children help, even down to the two year old who loves to help Mommy!
We keep our herd small, and almost always have a milker or two, and babies for sale. We also have a mini (horse) who loves children and attention we will bring for petting.
